A Sweet Day

Our anniversary was a perfect day. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and I got to spend the day with the two boys I love so much.

2 Years Ago Today...

Ashyr Rolls Front to Back

Ashyr started rolling from his tummy onto his back on his 2 month birthday. Our new entertainment is to put him on a blanket and watch him roll over, reset, roll over, reset, roll over time and time again.



Please ignore the spit up all over the blanket (and our unvaccuumed carpet).

2 Month Check-Up

I took Ashyr to his 2 month check-up today. The doctor said he is a muscular baby and that judging by his cooing and the way he interacts he is going to be a brainiac :) Sounds like he is going to take after his daddy. He weighed 12 lbs. 7 oz. and measured 23 3/4 inches (he was 8 lb. 2 oz. and 21 inches at birth). She said he looked absolutely perfect and is right on track.

Big Weekend for Baby

I took Ashyr on his first trip this weekend to visit my parents in Springfield. I was a tad nervous about being away from home for the first time since he was born, but it went perfectly. And of course he had a blast with Grandpa and Grandma. He even decided to roll over for the first time while we were there on his two month old birthday. We were pretty surprised when all of a sudden he rolled from his tummy to his back during dinner. He surprised himself too, but he really liked his discovery because he kept at it all weekend. Wish Grant could have seen it, but he was eager to perform his new trick for a very proud daddy when we got home. (Unfortunately my computer won't let me upload the videos I took of him rolling over and they got deleted somehow in the process. At least you get some pictures.)

Sleep at Last

I feel like a new woman today. Why? Because I got 8 hours of sleep last night...in a row. Ashyr finally slept through the night and I am one happy momma! I seriously have no idea how I managed to get through five years of college on just a few hours of sleep all the time. That's probably why I don't remember anything I learned in my classes.

Sorry it's been kind of quiet around here lately, but we've been sick and also super busy at the same time. Hope to have more to blog about soon.. something more exciting to read than how much sleep I'm getting.
