We had the privilege of watching some dear friends get married this weekend. I loved the simplicity of the wedding which allowed their love for God and each other to be very evident throughout the entire day. So beautiful. I think I can say it was the best one I have ever witnessed. Grant was thrilled to be a groomsmen. I was thrilled Ashyr slept through the whole ceremony so I could watch.
Congratulations Jordan and Anna!

Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
Did you ever read "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day"? It was one of my favorite books growing up. The plot is about a young boy who has every single possible thing go wrong one day from the moment he wakes up to the moment he goes to sleep at night. In the end, he says he wishes he could just move to Australia. His mom assures him that even people in Australia have bad days.
I felt like Alexander today.
It was such a beautiful morning outside, so I thought it would be the perfect day to take a leisurely walk around the plaza with Ashyr. Wrong. Everything turned south beginning with my first stop at a coffee shop. A kind man opened the door for me, but I rolled over both of his feet with the stroller. After getting my favorite frozen vanilla cappuccino, I dropped it on the floor and it splattered all over the coffee shop (and me). Next, at a clothing store I set off the alarm (twice) by getting too close with merchandise on accident. The sales clerk rolled her eyes (for good reason). Ashyr screamed the whole time in the fitting room until we left the store. And on the way out I somehow got caught on the door with my belt loop (Ashyr still screaming). A group of people just stared at me like I was a fool (again for good reason) as I tried to get unhooked from the door. When I got back to the parking lot (finally) I realized someone had stolen my car because I had apparently left my keys in it. There was a note that said, "Hey dummy, you left your keys in the car." Okay that one is obviously a joke, but seemed likely at this point. However, I did get hit in the head really hard by the trunk as I was loading the stroller. Needless to say, I was so relieved when we got home and couldn't wait to crash on the couch, except the toilet overflowed and I got to clean up a wet bathroom instead.
Can someone please assure me that people in Hawaii have bad days too...
...because I want to be there pretty badly right now.

Family Weekend
Had a great weekend with my parents, brothers, sister-in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Nathan was back on leave from Iraq and we celebrated Noah's 1st birthday. I can not get over how much the kiddos are growing and changing. It reminded me we don't see each other often enough, but I'm thankful for the time we did have together. Missing everyone already!
